Fans to Help Pack the House

Fans in San Francisco and Sacramento are invited to hit the streets in order to pack out 100 Monkeys' upcoming shows in those cities.

Any fan sending pictures of him/her flyering at 5 locations in either city will receive an autographed flyer.  Pictures may be sent to streetteam@100monkeysmusic.com, and questions and flyer requests can be sent to the same address.

In addition to the flyering promotion, local fans are invited to request 100 Monkeys for radio airplay.  San Francisco fans can text Live 105 at 36105 and Alice at 97.3 at 25423.  Those living in the Sacramento area can visit www.krxq.net to request the band via an online form.

100 Monkeys will be playing the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on Sunday, July 25.  The show is for ages 6+ and will start at 8 pm with doors opening at 7:30.  The band will swing into Sacramento on Wednesday, August 4 for a 7:30 pm show at the Venue.

Pre-order Live and Kickin, Part One

Click the picture to the left to pre-order 100 Monkeys' upcoming live album at Newbury Comics.  The album, available with signed or unsigned booklets from Newury, will be released July 20.  It will be available electronically on July 19.  Live and Kickin, Part One includes such concert favorites as "The Fair" and "Orson Brawl", as well as rarer performances of "Shock and Awe" and "Made of Gold."

New Single Released

100 Monkeys released "Future Radio" early July.  A follow-up to "Kolpix", the song is released in advance of the band's much-anticipated live album.  The full song is available the the band's web site and can be downloaded via online music sources, such as CD Freedom.

New Music News

100 Monkeys is working hard to wrap their live album, Live and Kicking Part 1, which is due for a July 20th release.  Featuring live performances from the first 60 shows on the 100 City Tour, the album will be available online for download n July 19.

Following on the heels of "Kolpix", the next single from 100 Monkeys will be "Future Radio."  The song, performed for the first time publicly at the Roxy in Los Angeles on May 28, is due out on July 7.

One can only assume that there is a plan for Live and Kicking Part 2 after this tour ends.  Efforts are already being put into a fall announcement for a new studio album with a stronger narrative angle and the next tour for the band.

Saint Rocke Show to Stream Live

July 20ths Hermosa Beach Show at Saint Rocke will be special all around!  Marking the release of 100 Monkey's live album, Live and Kicking, the concert will be carried again by the venue's live stream!  More details and the streaming address will be available as the date approaches.

100 Monkeys released new single "Kolpix" on June 9, 2010.  A fairly recent crowd favorite at live performances, "Kolpix" is a welcome addition to the 100 Monkeys music library.

The band is on the playlist!  Let's get them on air!

100 Monkeys is on the playlist for Indianpolis radio powerhouse WZPL.  You can request songs on the station's homepage by filling out a simple form.

To unify our requests and increase the chances of airplay, please request "Ugly Girl."  This is a great first song to expose Indianapolis listeners to!  High energy, quirky, and catchy, "Ugly Girl" is pretty much the epitome of the 100 Monkeys sound.

Spencer Bell Legacy Concert Tickets SOLD OUT

Tickets to the August 28 Spencer Bell Legacy Concerts sold out in record time.  We hope all of you got yours in time, but stay tuned for any announcements about ticket contests. 

The 2 pm show will feature members of invited bands collaborating on music from Spencer and other artists.  The 8 pm show will be an electrical celebration with sets from the invited bands.  This year's invited bands include 100 Monkeys, Evro, Drew and the Medicinal Pen, The Kissing Club, The Stevedores and Tin Tin Can.  Tickets are general admission.

Jackson Rathbone Featured in Nylon Magazine

Glean a few new tidbits about 100 Monkeys member Jackson Rathbone in an interview with Nylon Magazine posted June 3, 2010.  In it Jackson touches on the band, focusing on his upcoming film release The Last Airbender.  Possibly offering more insight into his sense of humor than anything else, the article pairs with some new photos as well.

Help 100 Monkeys Get on the Radio!

KIIS FM has added 100 Monkeys to their new music listings!  If they get enough plays, the Los Angeles station may add them to the on air list, so get streaming!

Yep!  Customizable internet radio station Pandora, home of the Music Genome Project, has included 100 Monkeys in their catalog!  Pandora discovers new music through a mixture of failed searches for artists and emails suggesting new inclusions.
